Sourdough is a traditional style of bread that is healthy and tastes delicious making it a favorite of artisan bakers. Sourdough takes patience, forethought, and love to produce, and its rise in popularity is indicative of a greater shift towards a more mindful, considered way of living. Casper and Martin are two young home bakers, born in Fredrikstad in 1985. Over the last 4 to 5 years they have developed their passion for sourdough baking and have shared their enthusiasm with a growing number of Instagram followers (@illebrod). Their commitment to using time-honored techniques coupled with locally grown and harvested grains and flour is showcased beautifully in Sourdough, which is their first publication. Casper currently resides in Fredrikstad and Martin in Oslo.
